Important Tips for Making Cold Tea at Home

The most important tip when making cold tea is to ensure that the steeped tea you use doesn’t become bitter over an extended period. While you can use steeped tea that you have on hand, such as leftover breakfast tea, you should be cautious to prevent it from becoming bitter, as mentioned earlier.

Benefits of Drinking Cold Tea for the Body

Cold tea made with ice cubes is an easy, practical, and cost-effective beverage that you’ll want to prepare at home all the time.

This refreshing summer beverage doesn’t cause stomach bloating and is a great way to stay hydrated on hot summer days. Interestingly, you can also prepare it with green tea. In just 15 minutes, you can have a perfect iced tea ready for yourself and your guests.

Storage Time for Cold Tea

After preparing cold tea, if you strain it, removing lemon pieces and ensuring it’s completely strained with a cloth or sieve, you can store it in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. If there are more lemon pieces and residue in the tea, it will spoil more quickly. Just like fruits that are soaked in liquid, because the fruits are directly stored in the liquid, they will spoil faster in this recipe.

The storage time will be shorter when you use it with other fruits. For example, it’s better not to keep fruit iced tea in the refrigerator for more than 2 days.

Conclusion:

As the summer months roll around, hot beverages are replaced with cold ones. One of my favorite summer beverages is iced tea. I usually combine leftover tea from breakfast with lemon or peach, sugar, and water, and I enjoy it during the hottest hours of the day. In any case, the preparation time is only about 2 minutes.

When preparing homemade iced tea, make sure the steeped tea you use doesn’t become bitter over an extended period. You can use tea that you have on hand from breakfast, for example, but be cautious to prevent it from becoming too bitter.

The main benefit of drinking cold tea is that it doesn’t cause bloating and provides refreshment on hot summer days. It’s easy to prepare and very cost-effective. You can also use green tea in this recipe if you prefer. You can prepare a refreshing iced tea for yourself and your guests in just 15 minutes. Enjoy!
